West Indies had won the first match against Ireland with ease and would wish to continue the wining streak in this match. Gayle is expected to return back and this will add to the firepower of the batting line up.

On the other hand England would be playing the first match of World cup today and would wish to start it on a winning note. England would be relying on K Pietersen and would be hoping that he plays well and help them win this match. In the second match of T20 World Cup 2010, West Indies played against minnows Ireland. West Indies who were playing without Gayle, won the toss and elected to bat first. The pitch was very sluggish and batsmen were having some problem to score freely but every batsmen contributed a small total and West Indies were able to post 138 runs in 20 overs.

Ireland got off to a disastrous start and lost the first wicket on the second ball of the innings. This triggered the fall of wickets and within the first 2 overs, Ireland lost 3 top order batsmen. The problem did not ended here as they kept losing wickets at regular interval of time and were 39/5 in the 9th over. West Indies bowled never gave them any opportunity to score runs and finally Ireland was bundled out for a paltry 68. Thus West Indies opened the account with a huge win of 70 runs.
