Pallekele International Cricket Stadium was opened on 27 November 2009, is one of the newest cricket stadium in Kandy. It is recently renamed as the Muttiah Muralitharan International Cricket Stadium to honor the legendary Lankan spinner.

The Kensington Oval was rebuilt few years back at a cost of $130 million to increase the capacity from 12,500 to 28,000 due to increasing cricket fever.

The Providence Stadium was built in 2006 at the cost of $30 million. It is situated 9km south of the capital, Georgetown. It has a capacity of 15000 and it offers a very good atmosphere to fans from all over the world.
